Floating Terraces

In this project, we turned a steep unusable backyard into a water-filled entertainment space. Two creeks converge around the upper patio to flow over a planted wall into a pond on the lower terrace. Simple trellising and privacy fencing were added to create privacy and a sense of proportion.

The In-law Suite

We carved a two car garage into an 850 sf apartment, hallway for the homeowner's access to the outside and utility/equipment room. The apartment is handicap accessible and features a full kitchen/laundry, bathroom, bedroom, living and dining areas.

The Creative Space

This space was designed for long hours at the desk or drafting table. The workout equipment is within easy reach to clear and reset the mind and the closets are built out with shelving for added storage in addition to the live edge shelves. Everything is ready for messy projects from the floor to the counter tops. The earthy palette warms up the room while still maintaining a crisp clean look that is energizing and free from excess.

The Lounge

Here, a large open basement was transformed into a bar/entertainment area with a hidden "adult space" behind the brick wall. A neutral palette with black accents creates an industrial space with eclectic furnishings and fixtures.

The Courtyard

This garden contained crumbling steps and overgrown borders. The courtyard became a focal point with a classic double staircase and fountain. Beds and borders were also given a face lift to create a cool shaded garden to enjoy even in Atlanta's hot summers.

The Farm

This 1,000 acre horse farm was full of open spaces. Our job was to define spaces and create a more human scale that was relatable. The spaces had to work for both humans, dogs and horses. The owners were big fans of western landscapes so we created simple, arid feeling hardscapes and plantings.

Fees are determined based on the project. Usually, a simple hourly rate is best for all, while complex project fees are often a combination of various fee schedules. Basic Consultation

Speak with client to determine needs and goals
Evaluate existing layout or review drawings for new construction
Determine style, color, etc. preferences
Evaluate special needs such as sustainability, functional restrictions and aging in place
Discuss feasibility of project
After meeting, provide a basic list of suggested solutions.

Design Ideas

After basic consultation, measure space to obtain necessary dimensions of site.
Develop project schedule and budget.
Develop simple furniture placement plans and specifications.
Develop ideas for architectural finishes and color selections.
Various options for choice selection from curated lists to shopping with the client to detailed specifications.
Client is responsible for all purchasing of materials and hiring of crafts/tradespeople.

Full Service Design and Installation

Prepare comprehensive installation plans, lighting plans, elevations and working drawings.
Prepare a budget for all construction and furnishings as specified
Help qualify vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
Assist in obtaining competitive bids for all phases of the project
Assist with owner-contractor contacts.
Coordinate with project stakeholders.
Provide project management of the jobsite during construction/installation
Procure furniture and furnishings.
Make periodic visits to the jobsite to ensure the work is being done according to specifications
Supervise installation of furniture, furnishings, and equipment.
Other services as needed to provide an effortless experience for the client
